Trent Davis Albright, MDTrent Davis Albright MD is a native of Westerville and the second oldest of Jim and Vicki Albright's five children. He attended St. Francis DeSales High School where he was active in football and wrestling. After graduating from high school he enrolled at Ohio State where he majored in biology and was a member of the rugby team. In 2003, Trent began medical school at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Dr Albright was selected by his fellow classmates as the student commencement speaker at his medical school graduation.
After medical school graduation, ophthalmology applicant are required to practice a year of general medicine. Trent chose Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida for his internship. The summer did not last forever, however, as after one short year, the gentle ocean breeze was traded for the mighty lakefront gusts of the Windy City. Trent spent the next three years honing his skills in Ophthalmology at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, a hospital dedicated to the poor. Following his residency training, Trent elected to pursue an additional year of training in Cornea and Refractive (laser vision correction) surgery with some of the field's foremost experts at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia Trent has returned home to Columbus to pursue what has always been his ultimate goal: to continue the work that his father and grandfather have done for over seven decades. Trent belongs to numerous ophthalmologist societies. In his free time, he enjoys running and golf. Trent and his best friend Brian Yeager have hosted the Doc and Yeager Invitational for over 15 years. This annual outing has contributed tens of thousands of dollars in donations to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization of central Ohio. |
