Training
This page provides general information on training opportunities that are available at The Eye Center. The Eye Center partners with numerous institutions throughout the central ohio region to help in providing some of the premier training in the region.
The Eye Center recognizes the need for tomorrow's LPNs and physicians to get training today. That's why The Eye Center has partnered with such institutions as The Ohio State University, Ohio Health, the VA Hospital, Columbus State University, and the Technology Education College to provide hands on training to students enrolled in various programs at these institutions.

LPNThe Eye Center in conjunction with Columbus State will be participating in their LPN training program. Students who are in their last quarter of nursing school will be participating in a clinical rotation at the Eye Surgery Center. The students will be assisting in the admitting and discharge of patients, (under the direct supervision of a RN) as well as observing surgical procedures.

Medical AssistantThe Eye Center in conjunction with the Technology Education College will be participating in an Externship program. Senior students will be doing their clinical rotation at the Eye Surgery Center for a 10 week period. These students will assist in the admitting and discharge of patients (under the direct supervision on a RN) as well as working in the business office.

Future TrainingThe Eye Center is in the process of working with Columbus State to assist with future training programs for LPN and Surgical Technicians students.

Research
The Eye Center is actively developing new procedures and researching how to help correct and cure eye diseases. Please refer back to this page as it will be updated with the latest information on the research that The Eye Center is performing.
Residents
The Eye Center and Eye Surgery Center provides a learning experience for Fellows, Residents, Medical Students and Optometrist from OSU, Ohio Health and the VA Hospital.
